Quick Tuesday Night Football Preview!

28 October 2008 279 views No Comment

Only one game tonight, but it’s the calm before the storm of Wednesday, when we go straight into NINE Premier League games. Tonight though, we’re at St James Park, where the Toon will be hoping to start their climb…

Newcastle vs West Brom
After having lost the derby on the weekend against Sunderland, Newcastle will be wanting to immediately get back up and put a few goals past West Brom. Even a scrappy win will do for the home side, as three points will be such a big confidence boost for the team.

West Brom are starting to let goals in at an alarming rate, and look likely to be battling in the relegation zone for the remainder of the season. They play some good attacking football at times, but this is the Premier League, where you need to take your chances or you will be punished. They had a few chances against Hull last week, but ended up losing the game too easily, so that will be a big concern for them going forward.

Pundit’s corner:
You really can’t see further than a Newcastle win here. For their sake, you hope that they win handily, but as mentioned earlier, any sort of win will do for the team, and especially for their fans.
