After a looooong International break, Premiership action resumes this week. We know that you’ve been having withdrawal symptoms, so without further ado, let’s start the action. The Riverside Stadium welcomes the league leaders in Saturday’s early Premiership game…

Middlesbrough v Chelsea, 12:45

Gareth Southgate deserves a bit of luck because there have been a couple of games this season that have turned against this Boro side very late on. They look more than decent up front but have still been struggling to score goals. Missed penalties are never good for the morale of the team, and a couple of those have been very costly so far this year.

Chelsea look quite imperious right now and you can just see them getting even stronger. They can hurt you from just about anywhere on the field, and are starting to play with more of a swagger now, while still retaining their solidity at the back. They remain most pundits’ choice for the league title this season.

Pundit’s corner:

The gulf in class between these two side should be just too great and you can see Chelsea easing to a win here, even though they are away from home. The Blues by more than the odd goal.
