It’s been a pretty good gameweek 10 for me in the Official Fantasy Premier League game, but could have been even better had I not left Geovanni on the bench. These things happen though, and I believe they even out over the course of the fantasy league season. Let’s start at the back as usual, with the goalkeeper…

Goalkeeper - Van der Sar - 2 points
A bit of a freakish occurence in that Man Utd conceded three goals, so I don’t expect it to happen too often in future.

Defender - Bosingwa - 6 points
Another clean sheet for Chelsea, which is by now a regular occurence. Can’t go wrong with Bosigwa at the moment.

Defender - Laursen - 1 points
Poor result from Villa, but Laursen is a fantasy league points-magnet, so he stays in the side.

Defender - Paintsil - 2 points
Denied a clean sheet right at the end, but such is the Premier League.

Midfielder - Valencia - 2 points
Tough choice to keep Valencia right now because there are a couple of offerings in midfield which could provide better value.

Midfielder - Ronaldo (captain) - 30 points
Another huge gameweek from Ronaldo, and he is now starting to become a must-have in this game.

Midfielder - A. Young - 2 points
Didn’t really get into the game against Newcastle, so an unusually quiet gameweek for Young.

Midfielder - Lampard - 9 points
Mr Consistency once again comes to the party. EVERY fantasy football team out there that has ambitions to do well should have him in their side.

Forward - Zamora - 2 points
I’ve run out of patience with Zamora and will be dropping him in the next gameweek or two. And then he’ll probably go on a scoring spree…

Forward - Defoe - 2 points
Again played well at the weekend, and to me it’s just a matter of time before he starts scoring goals again.

Forward - Zaki - 7 points
A goal to break his short “dry spell”, so he’ll have re-assured a lot of fantasy league managers out there who were thinking of dropping him.

So a decent week, and it seems the plan is working to select my team to pick up a minimum of 50 points every gameweek. I’ve picked up 65 points to take my tally to 627 thus far.
